My name is Ted McCormick, and I research and write about the ways people thought about and tried to change society and nature, especially in Britain, Ireland, Europe, and the Atlantic in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. I teach early modern European history and history of science at Concordia University, in Montreal.
